Microchipping

Kaka’ako Pet Hospital offers microchipping for pets of all ages. We recommend microchipping your pet as soon as possible to ensure they are identifiable and registered to your name. 

What are microchips?

Microchips are implanted underneath the skin layer and allow for permanent identification of your pet. Should your pet become lost or stolen, this microchip implant is scanned for its unique number, linked to the owner's information, and retrieved through a local database to help reunite your pet to you and your family.

What should you do if you find a lost pet or lose your pet?

Lost and found pets can be taken to your nearest veterinary hospital or the Hawaiian Humane Society and scanned for a microchip implant.
